What is it like to live in Oakgrove?
Oakgrove is the premium choice for a reason. New-build specification, walkable access to MK Central station, and some of the best schools in the region. Properties hold and appreciate value consistently, and the community is affluent and engaged. You pay top prices, but for many professionals and families the return is worth it. Crime is virtually non-existent. Most homes were built in the last decade, so there are no maintenance surprises. The Ouzel Valley Park runs along the edge of the development, providing green space and riverside walks.
Oakgrove has a polished, aspirational, modern feel. The streets are clean and orderly, the homes are high-specification, and the community is affluent and engaged. It does not have the organic character of older villages like Wolverton or Stony Stratford — it is a planned premium estate. For buyers who want modern living with excellent infrastructure, it is ideal. The Ouzel Valley Park on the edge adds genuine green space.
History of Oakgrove
Oakgrove is one of Milton Keynes' newest premium developments, built from the late 2000s onward on former farmland south-east of CMK, adjacent to the established Middleton area. The development was planned with high specifications, generous public realm and a local centre including a Waitrose. It has quickly become one of MK's most sought-after postcodes, driven by school catchments and proximity to MK Central station.
